学校には、どのような寮がありますか?
è Every student (except NCCU students, exchange students and faculty members) needs to buy group accident insurance.
Does every student required to buy health insurance?
è Yes. According to Ministry of Education, ROC (Taiwan), all foreign students are required to buy health insurance. You can choose to buy overseas health insurance in your own country or the health insurance provided by the center.

Will I get an insurance card if I bought the insurance from the center?
è The insurance you bought is only for group health/ accident. The insurance company only gives a school insurance policy but does not give an insurance card.

If I don’t have an insurance card, what documents should I bring when I go to see a doctor?
è Bring your passport or residence permit when you make an appointment. Please tell the doctor to write you a certificate of diagnosis (in Chinese). You need it and the receipt when you claim settlement.

Can the school’s health insurance cover the full expense?
è The outpatient payment for the same symptoms is limited to once a day. The payment can pay maximum of 1,000 NT per day. i.e., if you went to the family doctor and optometrist at the same day, the family doctor cost you 1050 NT and the optometrist cost 800 NT, the insurance company pays a maximum of 1,000 NT for the family medicine department and 800 NT for the ophthalmology department.

What are the procedures for claiming the accident/ health insurance?
è Please bring the financial account in Taiwan, residence permit number, receipt, and certificate of diagnosis to the CLC office to fill out the insurance claim form. Please collect the documents on the next work day of the center office and mail the documents to the insurance company.

When can I enroll in the National Health Insurance program?
è You can enroll in the NHI program when you receive the residence permit or stay in Taiwan for 6 months. Therefore, students of our center who hold residence permit for 6 months or have traveled abroad for less than 30 days (the number of days living in Taiwan minus the days you leave Taiwan, which exceeding 6 months) can registered NHI insurance.

Where will the NHI bill send to?
è You need to fill in the mailing address when you registered to enroll in NHI insurance. You can send the bill to the CLC office (11605, No. 64, Sec. 2, Zhinan Rd., Wenshan Dist., Taipei city, NCCU CLC) if you are worried about not receiving the bill.

You can pay the NHI bill at the post office and every convenience store. Please keep the payment receipt for at least 6 months.
è You can pay the NHI bill at the post office and every convenience store. Please keep the payment receipt for at least 6 months.

Should I cancel the NHI insurance before I leave Taiwan?
è When you enroll in the NHI insurance, the district office used your residence permit’s expiration date as your deadline for insurance enrollment. In other words, your insurance will automatically cancel once your residence permit expired. We recommend you to confirm with the staff when you apply for extending the enrollment. Please ask the staff whether you need to cancel the enrollment in person or the system will automatically cancel it.
