Dear all,
We are pleased to announce that the Mandarin courses offered by the CLC office for the 114-1 semester (fall semester 2025) will open for application shortly.
Please read the information below carefully.
² Application Process:
The Mandarin courses cannot be applied for through the NCCU course selection system.
Instead, interested students are required to apply through the designated survey.
Late applications will not be accepted, so we encourage you to apply within the timeframe.
University-level exchange students (New students) “do not need to reapply” for the Mandarin course, while OIC will survey with you. However, if you wish to make any changes, please contact the CLC coordinator by email before August 1st.

² Placement and Examination: 8/13 (Wed.) 09:00 - 8/18 (Mon.) 10:00 (GMT+8)
Two online placement tests, focusing on listening and reading skills. Please be sure to complete the exams within the time.
Additionally, an oral exam will be held during the first lesson of the course; therefore, please attend the first lesson.
Based on these assessments, students will be assigned to the appropriate class level for the semester.
Please note that beginners do not need to take the placement exams.
(Online exam ID and password will be sent to applicants by August 11th~12th )
We recommend that students refrain from preparing for the exams so that we can accurately determine the most suitable class for you.
² Class Assignment and Changes:
Due to potential schedule adjustments, class information such as room number will be communicated directly by the CLC office.
Students should rely on the information provided by the CLC office and not solely on the NCCU system.
Please be aware that the Mandarin course does not accept any additional applications once the application period has ended.
² Course Availability:
Please note that a spot in the Mandarin course is not guaranteed for all applicants. If the course reaches full capacity, students will be selected randomly via a lottery system.
