Extending an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)

Students should begin preparing to apply for an extension 10 days before their ARC expires.

Step 1 :

Apply for a Certificate of Enrollment at the CLC (with attendance record). You may need to pay tuition for the upcoming term.

Step 2 : Collect Required Documents
  1. Application Form
  2. Passport and Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)
  3. Certificate of Enrollment issued by the CLC
  4. One two-inch photo
  5. Chinese/English Study Plan (for students who have studied Mandarin in Taiwan for more than two years)
  6. Fee NT$ 100
Step 3 : Go to National Immigration Agency Taipei City/County Office
